RIBA Stirling Prize 2013

Whilst I love the drama of the Giant's Causeway Visitors Centre by Henegan Peng Architects for the National Trust............

..............my fingers will be crossed for the Newhall Be suburban housing scheme in Harlow by Alison Brooks Architects which through clever use of roof spaces both internally, as habitable space, and externally as garden area additional houses were able to be fitted onto the site enabling the developer to justify the additional spend on non-standard products and to increase the quality of the housing overall.

NATURAL ARCHITECTURE

Natural architecture such as this 'Tunnel of Love' has such a beautiful ethereal quality. This leafy tunnel is on a section of private railway in the Ukraine and has been formed over time by the passing of a train along the track.
