Site

A great example of the importance of site specific design is this toilet block at a rest stop in Norway. The building is a cube which is shaped and tilted for solar gain and to provide shelter from the weather. It generates its own power from an array of south facing solar panels.

The form and the function of the building are symbiotic. The cube is a cleverly designed robust structure working with the landscape; self sufficient, it sits harmoniously within its surroundings.
